The Aotearoa Maori Film Festival 2014 was another great collection of Maori short films, curated by Leo Koziol. It was showcased on August 22-23 at the Hurstville Civic Centre, Sydney and Septem 5-6 at the Kingston Butter Factory, Brisbane.
Another exciting addition to the 2014 AMFF was the Tamariki Filmmaking Workshop. It was awesome. Tamariki of all ages had a fantastic time, working together learning all about film: acting, lighting, makeup, props, directing, editing, camera shots and angles. We’re totally inspired. Check out what the tamariki did here!
Event Organiser, Brent Reihana, talks with Radio Waatea about this years Aotearoa Maori film festival in Sydney and showcased a new film workshop for tamariki. They discuss the festivals unique market and the up and coming screening in Brisbane 5-6 September.
